Yesterday, New York State Association of Realtors wrote a letter to Gov. Cuomo on suggestions on how to re-open. We are all briefed daily and are being told that phase one may begin sometime after May 15th. Phase one includes construction. Then the discussion of Phase two of the reopening for Real Estate is being considered. This could possibly take place 2 weeks later, bringing the reopening during the first week of June. Of course, in this new norm we have all been living in, we are all still unclear. Daily we continue to pray for COVID-19 numbers to continue to go down. With numbers from the first quarter showing strong and buyers having more free time to do drive bys, they have now begun narrowing down their list. The question remains are you ready? If the curve breaks and essential services relax, deals will continue to happen as they have been, as well on homes sight unseen. This clearly is an indicator that buyer’s demand is still strong for those who are fortunate to still have their jobs. As a buyer, hopefully, you’ve stayed in touch with your lender and have updated you on the latest. As previously discussed. Offers that are presented are asked to have an updated pre approval letter written. On the flip side, if living quarantine has made you a seller for all those reasons you now have to and want to move. Then, it’s time to get ready and freshen up your home with paint, re organize and declutter. Starting now couldn’t be a better time to get started and also get your yard in order to give it that “wow” curb appeal.
I hope you found this information helpful. If I can be of further service to you, remember I am always ready and available to help.
Continue to stay safe and healthy!
